Attention to the team
Brandon Lee Wilson, Manager Audit & Assurance: "What I find a very strong feature of Crowe Peak is our open-door policy. You can walk into anyone's office for a chat or substantive question, regardless of their title, role level or person. This attention to each other is also reflected in the way we work. We really work together as one team. We listen to each other and help each other out. It is therefore the team that gets results, not one individual."
When it comes to your career path, there is also attention for everyone at Crowe Peak. Brandon: "How you want to organize your work-life balance is very personal. The choices you make in this are respected by everyone. Nobody expects you to work late into the evening or on weekends or will call you at 11 o'clock at night if you don't want to. If you express your ambitions, wishes and expectations, you can get very far. You are listened to, and the achievement of your goals is facilitated. In short: in my experience, you are not a number at Crowe Peak. This is reflected in many ways. For example, when one of the partners calls, you might expect questions about work, but they also call just to check in with you and just ask how you're doing."
Freedom and trust
In January 2021, Brandon started as a Junior Manager. "The Junior position gave me a chance to get to know the company culture, the way of working and the client portfolio better. I was able to comfortably land in the organization while showing what I have to offer." His hard work did not go unnoticed, and after just six months Brandon advanced to Manager of Audit & Assurance. "From Day 1, I experienced freedom and trust. The organization really wants to invest in you and facilitates where necessary, so you can make the most of all career opportunities. Of course, the following applies here: 'express your ambitions'."
With training and courses, Crowe Peak ensures that employees stay ahead in our field and improve their personal skills. As a manager, Brandon notices this as well. "I liked the fact that I was helped by the office even on a very personal level: I am from South Africa, have lived in the Netherlands for more than 5 years and had to take the Dutch integration exam. But finding a good Dutch course turned out to be more difficult than expected. Fortunately, my colleagues came to the rescue and my course was even paid for by Crowe Peak."
When asked what the rest of his career path will look like, Brandon answers firmly. "Your career is a marathon, not a sprint. As a manager, I am the connecting link between the team, the partners and the client. I think it's important to refine and make that role my own first. I want to gain experience, deepen client relationships and expand the client portfolio. In addition, I like to keep enough time to train and coach colleagues. That promotion to a senior management position will come after that."
